About Us
I grew up loving animals. There have been dogs in our family as far back as I can remember. I have owned cats and rodents. I have an aquarium, as well as Betas. I also bred gerbils for a while. I have worked at reputable pet shops. So as you can see, I have a great deal of experience with animals.
However, dogs would have to be my all time favorite. There's nothing like seeing an expression on their face for the first time and understanding it. Who says they cannot speak to you!
At the age of 30 I decided it was time for a career change. I was working in jobs I did not enjoy all because I did not know where to get training to work with animals. Until one day I found out that I could take a course in dog training.
Since then I have worked in a training center and went on to start on my own. I would help people train their furry friends at their homes. Eventually my cleints wanted me to start boarding and caring for their dogs while they were away. That lead me to opening our training and boarding center.
Our goal is to help people live a healthy and happy life with their furry friends. We work with the temperament of the dog. We also help people to understand their pets and learn to communicate with them through methods other than language. We hope this will encourage people who have lost hope to keep their pets instead of feeling they have to send them away to a shelter.
This also leads to our other goal; to help adoption centers such as: Animal Rescue Network, Sophie's Dog Adoption and S.P.C.A. find homes for the already existing animals. More and more animals are born every year. This leads to more and more animals being put down or abandoned because of the lack of homes for them.
Why go to a breeder when you can provide a home for a lonely pet that will probebly turn out to be one of the best friends you ever had. Why go to a petshop where we're never sure of where most of the dogs come from. We do not want to keep the puppy mills in business
If you must buy from a pet shop... ask us which ones, so we can provide you with a place that does not promote these monterous activities. If you must buy from a breeder do your research through dog shows and breeder associations.
If you are not sure of where to look we are here to help you. If you are not sure where to proceed give us a call.
It is only as society that we can stop the cruelty and neglect, not as individuals. If we start helping each other and informing each other and acting responsibly we can make a change.
And that is our main goal!
